LONDON, September 9, 2025 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas departed the United Kingdom today, Tuesday, concluding a three-day state visit at the kind invitation of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
During his visit, the President held meetings with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper. He also received a delegation from the Palestinian community in the United Kingdom, British doctors recently returned from Gaza, Arab ambassadors accredited to the UK, as well as the Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee, the leader of the UK Liberal Democratic Party, and several other British figures and officials.
The meeting was attended by Head of the PLO’s International Relations Department, Ziad Abu Amr, the President’s Diplomatic Affairs Advisor, Majdi al-Khalidi, and Palestine’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Husam Zomlot.
