RAMALLAH, September 9, 2025 (WAFA) – During a phone call today, Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa and his Spanish counterpart, Pedro Sánchez, discussed ways to intensify international pressure on Israel to end the genocidal war and the policy of starvation carried out against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
Mustafa further stressed the necessity of opening all crossings with Gaza to allow the entry of urgent humanitarian and relief aid.
The Prime Minister praised Spain’s stance in support of the Palestinian cause and people, as well as its efforts to advance peace through the two-state solution, and its rejection of the occupation’s policies, measures, and ongoing violations in both the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including Jerusalem.
The two premiers also discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries and emphasized the need to follow up on the outcomes of the New York Conference and build on them.
They also addressed the need for continued joint coordination to ensure the success of the international conference on the peaceful settlement of the Palestinian issue and the implementation of the two-state solution, which is scheduled to be held on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly later this month.
