Israeli troops open fire at homes east of Khan Younis in Gaza Strip

KHAN YOUNS, January 7, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli troops stationed on the borders with Gaza Saturday opened fire at Palestinians and at their homes east of Khan Younis in the south of the Gaza Strip.

Residents said the soldiers shot at people near the border line and at homes in the area without causing any injuries.

Shooting at people and homes near the borders is an almost daily routine to prevent farmers and residents from coming close to the border fence separating Gaza from Israel.

The Israeli military has declared almost 300 meters of the border area into Gaza as a military buffer zone off s to Palestinians and prevents people from reaching their land in that area by shooting at anyone who enter it.
