Israeli forces take over house near Ramallah, turn it into military outpost

RAMALLAH, June 16, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces on Monday took over a Palestinian’s house and turned it into a military outpost in al-Mughayyir village, northeast of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, according to local sources.

They said that the occupying forces broke into the family house of Nimr Abu Alya, imprisoned Nimr inside, and used his mobile phone to call his parents and inform them that their house had been turned into a military observation and a firing position.

Earlier today, the occupation forces stormed three houses in the village, held the occupants inside, and used them as sniping posts.

The occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.

These raids are conducted without the need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses, in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.

Under Israeli military law, army commanders have full executive, legislative, and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
