Israel returns corpses of two Palestinians to their families for burial at home

HEBRON, January 6, 2017 (WAFA) – Israel returned on Friday corpses of two Palestinians its security forces had killed in September in two separate incidents in Hebron, according to official Palestinian sources.

They said the Israeli military handed over the corpses of Mohammad Rajabi, 16, and Hatem Shalloudi, 26, to the Palestinian Red Crescent so that their families can bury them in their hometowns.

The funeral and burial is expected to take place on Saturday.

Rajabi was shot dead by Israeli soldiers in Tel Rumeida in Hebron on September 16 claiming he attempted to carry out a stabbing attack.

Shalloudi was also killed in Hebron the next day under the same pretext.

Israel held the bodies as a punishment for their families and only recently began returning them.

It is still holding bodies of seven Palestinians from the West Bank and East Jerusalem all killed in alleged attacks against Israelis last year.
