JENIN, July 30, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces Saturday detained five Palestinians from across the West Bank district as well as summoned three others for interrogation, according to local, official, and security sources.
In Jenin, Israeli forces detained three Palestinians during a military raid into the city of Jenin and its Refugee Camp, in the northern West Bank, which spurred clashes with Palestinian locals.
Deputy Governor of Jenin, Kamal Abu al-Rub, said forces detained Tha’er al-Henthawi, Abdel-Rahaman al-Hasri, and Abdallah Hasri, after raiding and searching their homes.
In Jenin’s refugee camp, the army reportedly used live ammunition against locals, shooting and injuring a youth with a live bullet in his thigh. He was identified as Fawzi Abu Daqa, 20.
Meanwhile, clashes also erupted between Palestinians and Israeli forces throughout several neighborhoods in Jenin city. Six Palestinians were injured with live fire in the feet.
In Hebron’s Beit ‘Anoun village to the east, forces detained a local who was identified as Fahmi al-Froukh, after raiding his home. He was led to an unknown destination.
Forces further stormed several neighborhoods in Hebron city and the towns of al-Shouokh and Yatta, where they placed military checkpoints, and proceeded to stop and inspect the identity cards of passing Palestinian registered vehicles.
In Jerusalem, Israeli police detained one of al-Aqsa mosque guards while he was present in front of Bab al-Asbat (Lions Gate), one of al-Aqsa mosque gates.
Meanwhile in the Bethlehem area, forces handed three Palestinian locals summons ordering them to appear before the Israeli intelligence for questioning.
