GAZA, June 29, 2025 (WAFA) – Several Palestinians were killed and dozens more injured on Sunday as Israeli occupation forces intensified their air and artillery attacks across different areas of the Gaza Strip.
Medical sources at Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza City reported that five bodies and multiple injured civilians were transported to the hospital following an Israeli airstrike on a home in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, northeast of the city.
In a separate incident, an Israeli drone strike targeted the crowded Al-Zawiya market in the Al-Daraj neighborhood of central Gaza City, resulting in additional fatalities and injuries among civilians.
At the same time, Israeli artillery shelled central Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Strip, adding to the widespread destruction and ongoing humanitarian crisis.
The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 56,412 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 133,054 others injured.
Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.
Israel's genocidal attacks continue unabated despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
