JORDAN VALLEY, June 29, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists on Sunday seized a herd of cattle belonging to a Palestinian resident while he was grazing them near his tent in the Al-Hamma area of the northern Jordan Valley.
Local sources reported that the colonists detained the herd owned by Rafea' Mohammad Fuqaha, sparking fears that they might attempt to confiscate the animals permanently. The incident took place in open pastures close to Fuqaha's home, where he regularly grazes his livestock.
Israeli colonists have escalated their attacks on Palestinians and their property in the Jordan Valley in recent months. These actions aim to create a hostile environment that forces Palestinian communities to leave, paving the way for further colonial expansion.
The Jordan Valley is considered occupied Palestinian territory under international law. However, Israel continues to support and protect colonist activities in the area, contributing to the displacement of indigenous Palestinian populations and undermining their right to remain on their land.
