GAZA, June 28, 2025 (WAFA) – At least ten Palestinians were killed and several others wounded today as Israeli forces carried out attacks in the southern Gaza cities of Khan Younis and Rafah.
According to medical sources at Nasser Medical Complex, six civilians were killed and many others injured when Israeli forces opened fire near an aid distribution center in northern Rafah. The attack targeted a location where displaced residents had gathered in hopes of receiving humanitarian assistance.
In a separate incident, four more civilians were killed in an Israeli airstrike on the town of Al-Qarara, located north of Khan Younis.
United Nations reports indicate that more than 550 Palestinians have been killed in recent weeks while attempting to access food at aid distribution points established under a joint Israeli-American mechanism. The UN has condemned these points, noting that they have effectively become death traps and sites of mass killings.
The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 56,331 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 132,632 others injured.
Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.
Israel's genocidal attacks continue unabated despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
