HEBRON, June 29, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces assaulted several Palestinian residents, including women and children, and detained others during a raid on the village of Khirbet Khilet al-Dabe’ in Masafer Yatta region, south of Hebron, early Sunday morning.
According to Palestinian security and local sources, Israeli troops stormed the village and brutally attacked residents, beating them with batons and rifle butts. Several people sustained bruises and injuries, and 85-year-old Ali al-Dababseh was hospitalized after losing consciousness from the assault.
The same sources reported that a local Palestinian resident from the nearby village of Susiya in Masafer Yatta was also detained during the incursion.
Residents and human rights groups have warned of increasing Israeli military and settler violence in Masafer Yatta. These actions are widely viewed as part of an escalating campaign to forcibly displace Palestinians and make way for illegal settlement expansion in the area.
The Masafer Yatta region has been a flashpoint for Israeli military attacks and settler harassment, as local Palestinian communities face mounting pressure aimed at forcing them off their ancestral lands.
