JERUSALEM, June 28, 2025 (WAFA) – The Israeli occupation forces continue committing crimes and massacres against Palestinian athletes in Gaza and the West Bank, with 13 members of the Palestinian sports community killed in June alone, according to the Palestinian Olympic Committee.

In a statement issued Saturday, the committee said the total number of victims from the sports, youth, and scouting community has risen to approximately 615 out of more than 56,000 Palestinian martyrs, with over 150,000 wounded.

Among the 13 athletes killed this month were eight football players and staff, two volleyball players, one handball player, and one Muay Thai athlete.

The football martyrs include Mohamed Abdel Moneim Al-Jaabari, Emad Yousef Al-Samhouri, Mohamed Mahmoud Yassin, Mostafa Mayt, Abdullah Mazen Hawila, Ayman Jumaa Al-Hamas, and Youssef Ayman Al-Najjar.

The volleyball players killed were Abdel Karim Al-Nanman and Ahmed Mohamed Al-Mufti; the karate athlete was Ayman Totah; the Muay Thai fighter Ammar Hamayel; and the handball player Mohamed Hussein Al-Nashar.
