RAMALLAH, February 4, 2016 (WAFA) – Weather on Thursday is generally clear, with a noticeable rise in temperatures, approaching five degrees Celsius above annual average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Winds are easterly to southeasterly and moderate to active. Sea waves are low.
Temperatures are anticipated to continue to rise on Friday, approaching about six degrees Celsius above annual average, with partly cloudy skies expected.
However on Saturday, temperatures are expected to significantly drop as a low pressure accompanied by a cold front is expected to affect the region. Therefore, heavy rains, accompanied by occasional thunderstorms, are expected over many areas.
Temperatures are expected to continue to drop on Sunday, also with a high chance of rain showers accompanied by thunderstorms over many areas.
PMD warned about possible flooding in low areas, about speedy winds, and about low horizontal visibility.
