RAMALLAH, April 7, 2026 (WAFA) – The Explosives Engineering Branch of the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Police dealt with a suspicious object and handled several rocket shrapnel fragments that fell in the town of Birzeit, north of Ramallah, on Monday.

In a statement issued Monday night, the police said that after receiving multiple reports at the operations room about the fall of rocket shrapnel and the presence of a suspicious object at a site in the town, a team from the Explosives Engineering Unit immediately moved to the location. The rocket fragments were secured and handled, while the suspicious object, which was determined to be unexploded, was transported to a safe site and destroyed according to standard procedures.

The police affirmed their commitment to citizens’ safety, urging the public not to approach any suspicious objects or remnants of war and to report them immediately via emergency numbers.
