Colonists attack olive pickers in Beit Amarin, north of Nablus, and force them to leave their lands

NABLUS, October 13, 2026 (WAFA) – Colonists attacked olive pickers today, Tuesday, in the Al-Naqab area—part of the lands of the town of Beit Amarin, north of Nablus—and forced them to leave their lands at gunpoint.

Local sources reported that a group of colonists attacked olive pickers in the area—classified as Area A—and compelled them to leave under threat of weapons.

The sources added that the Al-Naqab area is frequently subjected to colonists' attacks and assaults on farmers, who are prevented from accessing their lands.

These assaults coincide with the start of the olive harvest season, during which farmers in various areas face colonists' attacks—including the theft of fruit, the cutting down and burning of trees, and the seizure of crops—aimed at depriving farmers of access to their lands and their agricultural harvest.

According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, settlers carried out 647 attacks last month. These were concentrated in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate (506 attacks), followed by Nablus (342), Hebron (272), Jenin (202), Bethlehem (187), Tulkarm (152), and Jerusalem (149).
