NAQAB, October 13, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli authorities demolished homes and agricultural structures made of corrugated iron this Tuesday morning in the southern area of Rahat, a city in the Naqab region within the 1948 territories.
According to the "Arab 48" news site, the homes belong to the Abu Qirshin family and housed dozens of people.
Footage of the demolition showed a heavy bulldozer destroying the homes and leveling them to the ground, while Israeli police forces cordoned off the surrounding street.
This action follows the demolition by Israeli authorities, just one day prior, of all homes in the village of Al-Dahiya—located north of Rahat—displacing approximately 300 members of the Abu Wadi family.
The ongoing demolitions within Arab communities, particularly in the Naqab, highlight a crisis regarding housing and urban planning. These events unfold amidst persistent demolition orders and residents' fears of losing their homes and livelihoods, alongside calls for solutions that guarantee their right to housing and stability.
