RAMALLAH AND AL-BIREH, October 13, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces stormed the courtyard of the Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah today, Tuesday, and deployed snipers around its entrances.
Local sources reported that occupation forces entered the complex's courtyard with military reinforcements, positioned snipers at the entrances, and blocked entry to and exit from the facility.
The same sources added that an occupation army force, accompanied by two tow trucks, entered the city of Al-Bireh, the Al-Tireh neighborhood, and the town of Sarda—north of Ramallah—patrolling the streets with their vehicles.
Shortly before, occupation forces stormed the Legislative Council Roundabout in central Ramallah, firing live ammunition, rubber-coated metal bullets, and toxic tear gas canisters, while targeting journalists present in the area.
According to media reports, Firas Lutfi, a journalist with Sky News Arabia, sustained a shrapnel wound to his leg after being directly struck by a tear gas canister.
Occupation forces also raided the headquarters of the Al-Dameer organization, seizing equipment and files belonging to the group.
Subsequently, occupation forces detained a citizen after assaulting him on the street stretching from the Legislative Council Roundabout toward the Ramallah Municipality, as the incursion into the area continued.
A14-year-old child was shot with live ammunition in the upper thigh, and dozens of citizens suffered from tear gas inhalation, during the ongoing raid, according to the Ministry of Health.
A young man was also shot with live ammunition and sustained serious injuries.
Meanwhile, occupation forces raided the headquarters of the Al-Haq/Addameer organization, seizing equipment and files from the premises.
Occupation forces had previously shut down the organization in 2022, welding metal plates over its entrances and posting a full closure order. This action followed a raid in which the premises were ransacked and files and equipment were confiscated—measures taken after the then-Israeli Defense Minister, Benny Gantz, issued a final designation labeling three Palestinian organizations and associations as "terrorist" entities.
This move, which constituted direct incitement against these organizations, was based on the so-called "Counter-Terrorism Law" of 2016 and relied on information provided by the "NGO Monitor" group—an organization known for its hardline stance and history of incitement against Palestinian institutions.
