PCBS report shows increase in Palestine's trade balance deficit for registered goods by 15%

RAMALLAH, February 23, 2026 (WAFA) – A report by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) showed an increase in trade balance deficit for registered goods by 15% in December, 2025 compared to December 2024.

Exports in Goods

Exports increased in December, 2025 by 16% compared to December, 2024 and reached USD 190.2 Million. 

Exports to Israel increased in December, 2025 by 22% compared to December, 2024 and it represented 89% of total exports in December, 2025.

On the other hand, exports to other countries decreased by 19% during the same period compared to December, 2024.

Imports in Goods

Imports increased in December, 2025 by 15% compared to December, 2024 and reached USD 691.1 Million.

Imports from Israel increased by 24% in December, 2025 compared to December, 2024 and it represented 59% of total imports in December, 2025.

At the same time, imports from other countries increased by 5% compared to December, 2024.

 

Trade Balance on Registered Goods

The trade balance, which represents the difference between exports and imports, showed an increase in trade deficit by 15% in December, 2025 compared to December, 2024 and reached USD 500.9 Million.
