JERUSALEM, September 29, 2026 (WAFA) – Hundreds of terrorist colonists stormed the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque this Tuesday morning via the Mughrabi Gate, under heavy protection from Israeli occupation police. They performed Talmudic rituals and prayers, sang in groups, and engaged in clapping.

The Jerusalem Governorate stated that these incursions took place on the fourth day of the Jewish holiday of Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles), noting that the terrorist colonists performed their rituals in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of occupation police.

It added that the colonists assaulted citizens—beating and dragging them—in the Damascus Gate area, and posted videos documenting their attacks on social media platforms.

These incursions coincide with the occupation authorities tightening military measures in the vicinity of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Old City, and imposing restrictions on the entry and movement of worshippers.

The month of September has witnessed repeated incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque, the most recent occurring yesterday, Monday, with the participation of 1,731 colonists.

According to data from the Jerusalem Governorate, more than 40,661 colonists have stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque between the beginning of the year and the end of August 2026, while the number of orders banning Jerusalemites from the mosque reached approximately 800 between the start of the year and early September.
