RAMALLAH, February 23, 2026 (WAFA) – The Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD) said that the country will be affected today, Monday, by a low-pressure system accompanied by a cold air mass. The weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy and cold, especially in the mountainous areas. A further drop in temperatures is expected, with scattered showers expected in most areas, possibly accompanied by thunderstorms at times. Winds will be southwesterly to westerly, light to moderate, occasionally becoming active. Sea waves will be moderate.
During the evening and night, the weather will be cloudy with scattered showers expected in most areas, possibly accompanied by thunderstorms at times. Winds will be westerly to northwesterly, moderate, occasionally becoming active. Sea waves will be moderate.
The country will continue to be affected by the low-pressure system tomorrow, resulting in partly cloudy to cloudy and cold weather, especially in mountainous areas. Temperatures will remain unchanged, and scattered showers are expected across most regions, possibly accompanied by thunderstorms at times. Winds will be moderate to brisk, occasionally gusty, from the southwest to northwest. Sea waves will be moderate to high.
On Wednesday, the weather will be partly cloudy and relatively cold, particularly in mountainous areas. Temperatures will remain unchanged, and there is a chance of scattered showers in some areas, especially in the north. Winds will be moderate to brisk from the southwest. Sea waves will be moderate to high.
On Thursday, the weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy and cold, especially in mountainous areas. Temperatures will drop, and scattered showers are expected across most regions, possibly accompanied by thunderstorms at times. Winds will be moderate to brisk, occasionally gusty, from the southwest to northwest. Sea waves will be moderate to high.
The Meteorological Department warned citizens during the period the country is affected by the low-pressure system of the risk of slippery roads in areas experiencing rainfall, reduced horizontal visibility due to fog and low-lying clouds, and high sea waves.
