HEBRON, November 24, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli ocucpation forces raided the village of Tuwana in the Masafer Yatta area, south of Hebron, on Sunday, detaining two Palestinians and attacking an elderly man during the raid, according to local sources.
The sources added that the soldiers also attempted to seize a tractor belonging to one of the residents, part of a broader effort to take control of Palestinian land for settlement expansion.
Mohammad Rabai, the head of the Tuwana Village Council, reported that Israeli soldiers stormed the home of 70-year-old Mufaddi Rabai, beating him during the raid.
They claimed he had been plowing his land near the illegal Ma'on settlement, which is built on Palestinian land in Masafer Yatta. The soldiers attempted to confiscate his agricultural tractor but were stopped by the presence of local residents.
In addition to the assault on Mufaddi Rabai, Israeli forces detained two other villagers, Musab Mohammad Rabai and Musa Jumaa Rabai, for being on their own land near the settlement.
