BETHLEHEM, November 6, 2024 (WAFA) – Several students in the town of Al-Khader, located south of Bethlehem, experienced suffocation today after Israeli occupation forces fired toxic gas canisters during a raid on the area, according to local sources.
The sources reported that the Israeli military targeted students as they were leaving their schools at the end of the school day. The forces launched both tear gas and sound grenades, leading to the suffocation of several students from teargas inhalation.
Earlier in the morning, the Israeli military had also stormed the town, firing toxic gas canisters around the Al-Khader Secondary School for Girls and in the vicinity of local shops, causing suffocation cases among residents.
This attack comes amid a recent escalation of Israeli forces’ attacks on schoolchildren in Al-Khader, with repeated incidents of suffocation injuries caused by tear gas, further heightening tensions in the region.
