GAZA, September 29, 2026 (WAFA) – An Israeli strike and gunfire resulted on Tuesday in killing two Palestinians and injuring several others in the genocide-stricken Gaza Strip, according to medical sources at Al-Shifa Hospital.

They said that the bodies of two Palestinians and several casualties, including children, were brought to the hospital following an Israeli airstrike that targeted an apartment in the al-Nasr neighborhood, north of Gaza City.

They added that the hospital received a critically injured Palestinian following an Israeli drone strike that hit the Al-Fakhoura area in Jabalia.

Meanwhile, an Israeli combat drone struck a group of Palestinians in the Halawa camp for displaced persons in Jabalia, resulting in several casualties, including one critically injured.

Another combat drone strike hit a group of Palestinians at the end of al-Nasr Street in northern Gaza City, resulting in an injury.

Israel has waged a military onslaught on the Strip since 7 October 2023, killing 74,023 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injuring 175,980 others. It has destroyed 90% of the Strip’s infrastructure, with the cost of Gaza reconstruction estimated at $70 billion.

Since the Gaza ceasefire agreement went into effect on October 11, 2025, Israel has killed 1,422 Palestinians and injured 4,996 others. The bodies of 834 slain Palestinians have been recovered during the same period.

Moreover, at least 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.

The Israeli aggression has also resulted in the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from all over the Gaza Strip, with the vast majority of the displaced forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafah near the border with Egypt – in what has become Palestine’s largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.
