HEBRON, Thursday, August 1, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces, accompanied by armed colonists, demolished a house under construction and a water well today in the village of al-Raihiyeh, located south of Hebron.
Local sources reported that the demolition, which occurred in the area adjacent to the colonial settlement of Beit Hagai, involved the use of bulldozers to destroy a 150-square-meter house and a well belonging to resident Musa Muhammad al-Harsh.
The area targeted by the demolition is situated on land belonging to local residents and close to the settlement, which is built on stolen Palestinian land.
According to the state-run Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, at least 318 Palestinian structures have been demolished by Israel and 359 demolition notices issued in the first half of 2024.
Israel widely uses the pretext of the lack of construction permits to demolish Palestinian homes, especially in Area C of the West Bank.
