UPDATE: Four Palestinians injured in Israeli colonist attack on farmers near Salfit

SAKFIT, October 8, 2026 (WAFA) — Four Palestinians were injured on Thursday after Israeli colonists attacked farmers in Wadi al-Shaer, located between the city of Salfit and the town of al-Laban al-Sharqiya. The settlers also damaged around five vehicles.

Salfit Agriculture Directorate Director Ibrahim al-Hamad said the four Palestinians were transferred to Yasser Arafat Governmental Hospital in Salfit. Their injuries ranged from bruises to fractures. They were identified as Mohammad Darwish Shtayeh, Nashat Abdullah Shtayeh, Rashad Darwish Shtayeh, and Saddam Adel Zubeidiya.

Local sources told WAFA that a group of colonists attacked the farmers with sharp objects while they were in the area and damaged five vehicles.

Salfit Governorate has witnessed a rise in attacks by colonists and Israeli forces against farmers, their land, and property, particularly with the start of the olive harvest season, amid restrictions on Palestinians’ access to their agricultural land.
