Presidency condemns attacks targeting Saudi airports and civilian facilities

RAMALLAH, October 8, 2026 (WAFA) — The Palestinian Presidency on Thursday strongly condemned recent terror attacks targeting Abha and King Khalid airports and civilian facilities in Saudi Arabia, which resulted in deaths and injuries among civilians.

The Presidency said targeting Saudi airports and civilian facilities is unacceptable, constitutes a violation of international law and threatens the security and stability of Saudi Arabia, as well as that of the wider region, while putting civilian lives at risk.

It affirmed that the State of Palestine, its leadership and people stand alongside Saudi Arabia under the leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and reject any actions that undermine the kingdom's security, stability, sovereignty or territorial integrity.

The Presidency called for an immediate halt to the attacks, respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states, and efforts to prevent further escalation and tensions in the region in order to safeguard the security and stability of its peoples.

It also expressed condolences to the families of those killed and wished the injured a speedy recovery, while wishing Saudi Arabia and its people continued development, progress and prosperity.
