GAZA, October 8, 2026 (WAFA) — Two Palestinians were killed and others injured on Thursday when an Israeli drone targeted a vehicle near the Jordanian Field Hospital southwest of Gaza City, according to local and medical sources.
Ambulance and emergency services reported that two slain Palestinians and several injured Palestinians were brought to Al-Saraya Field Hospital in the aftermath of the strike.
WAFA correspondent reported that the two victims were Hussam Abu al-Atta and Majdi al-Ayyoubi, who had been released from Israeli detention some time ago. Al-Ayyoubi was killed after his wife, son and mother were killed at the beginning of the Israeli offensive.
According to health authorities, at least 74,250 Palestinians have been killed and 175,278 injured in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the Israeli aggression in October 2023. The figures include 1,467 fatalities recorded since the October 2025 ceasefire, in addition to 836 bodies recovered since then.
