GAZA, Friday, May 12, 2023 (WAFA) – A Palestinian child today sustained shrapnel wounds inflicted from an Israeli missile to the east of Rafah crossing in the Gaza Strip, according to medical sources.

They confirmed that a six-year-old girl sustained a shrapnel injury in the head from an Israeli missile that exploded to the east of the border crossing in the southern besieged enclave and described her condition as moderate.

Israel has launched airstrikes against the besieged Gaza Strip for the fourth consecutive day, resulting in the killing of 31 Palestinians, including women and children, and wounding over 96 others, including serious injuries.

This rises the total death toll of Palestinians at the hands of Israeli army and settlers since the start of 2023 to 146 in the occupied West Bank and the Gaza Strip, including 26 children and six women.
