Colonists assault Palestinian, vandalize his vehicle near Ramallah

RAMALLAH, July 8, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists on Wednesday evening assaulted a Palestinian driver and vandalized his vehicle near the al-Mughayyir village, northeast of Ramallah, according to WAFA correspondent.

He reported that the colonists intercepted the vehicle passing along the Marj Si' road, smashed its windows, and physically attacked the driver.

This came as Israeli occupation forces continued to close the Marj Si' plain, which connects the villages of al-Mughayyir and Abu Falah, denying Palestinians access into and out of either of the two villages.

Meanwhile, colonists attacked passing Palestinian-registered vehicles on the main Rammun-Deir Jarir Road, east of Ramallah.

They hurled stones at passing vehicles, causing damage.

Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
