RAMALLAH, July 8, 2026 (WAFA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned on Wednesday Iran’s targeting of Qatari and Saudi commercial tankers in the Strait of Hormuz.
In a statement, the Ministry described the attacks as a dangerous escalation that threatens regional security and stability and undermines maritime security and freedom of navigation in international waters.
The Ministry stressed the State of Palestine's full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of Qatar, affirming that it stands by their side in the face of any threats to their security and stability.
It renewed its support for efforts aimed at safeguarding the security and national resources of both countries in such a way that contributes to enhancing security and stability throughout the region.
On late Monday, a Qatari LNG tanker and a Saudi crude tanker were struck by Iranian missiles while transiting in the Strait of Hormuz.
