Israeli forces, colonists oust families from their homes near Jenin

JENIN, July 8, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces and colonists on Wednesday forcibly ousted Palestinian families from their homes in Khirbet Asaeed of the Ya'bad town, southwest of Jenin, according to a local source.

Suhaila Obeid told WAFA that colonists stormed the homes in the hamlet and assaulted the inhabitants before the gun-toting soldiers broke inside and forcibly ousted four families living there from their dwellings.

She added that the soldiers informed the families that they would not be allowed to return to their homes, noting that the families remain homeless, with nowhere to shelter.

She called on international and official institutions to intervene urgently to enable the families to return to their homes, noting that several displaced children suffer from medical conditions.

Khirbet Asaeed is located near the Israeli colony of Mevo Dotan, established on lands belonging to Ya'bad. The four families have lived in the hamlet for more than 70 years and have previously been subjected to repeated attacks and harassment by Israeli occupation forces aimed at intimidating and displacing them.
