HEBRON, Wednesday, May 10, 2023 (WAFA) – The Israeli occupation forces uprooted 600 olive trees, destroyed 20 water tanks and demolished several pergolas in the town of Tarqoumia, northwest of Hebron, in what landowners say was part of efforts to expand illegal nearby Jewish settlements.

Mahmoud Fatafta, a landowner, said the uprooted trees and damaged tanks and pergolas were on the land owned by his family.

He said the uprooting of trees in that land has been going on for years, and, along with attacks by settlers, aim at forcing the owners to abandon it in order to take it over and expand the nearby illegal settlements of Adora and Telem.
