RAMALLAH, Wednesday, 26 April 2023 (WAFA) – A senior Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) official today urged the Munich Quartet to support a serious and effective path towards regional stability.

During a meeting in the occupied West Bank of Ramallah, Secretary-General of PLO Executive Committee Hussein al-Sheikh discussed with the Representative of Germany to the Palestine Oliver Owcza the latest political developments and “the support of the Munich Quartet for the necessity of a serious and effective political path between Palestinians and Israelis.”

“]Owcza[ stressed Germany's position in support of stopping unilateral measures to maintain calm and stability, and create an appropriate climate for negotiations between the two parties,” al-Sheikh tweeted.

Owcza thanked al-Sheikh in a tweet “for this cordial and constructive exchange on latest political and security developments.”

“I indeed emphasized the upcoming Munich group meeting in support of the Aqaba process and in creating an environment conducive to political understanding,” he added.

The "Munich Quartet" is composed of Germany, Jordan, Egypt and France.
