AMMAN, Friday, April 7, 2023 (WAFA) – Hundreds of Jordanians staged rallies and sit-ins today in various governorates in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, invlcuding in the capital Amman, in condemnation of the Israeli attacks and measures, including its aggression against al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem.
Hundreds of people, including from political parties in Jordan, popular forces, and people from all sectors of the Jordanian population, took part in the popular rallies and sit-ins that were organized today in support of worshipers at al-Aqsa mosque and the two active Muslim groups who maintain presence at the Al-Aqsa Mosque complex to confront provocative visits by Jewish extremists, known as Murabitin (male protectors of the Mosque) and Murabitat (female protectors of the Mosque).
Protesters carried the Jordanian and Palestinian flags and banners that expressed solidarity with Palestinians in Jerusalem and condemnation of the Israeli occupation attacks against them.
Protesters called on the international community to intervene and provide protection to the Palestinian people and to take a firm stance against the Israeli aggression on Muslim and Christian holy sites in the occupied city of Jerusalem.
