KUALA LUMPUR, Thursday, April 6, 2023 (WAFA) – Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim called on the international community, in particular the United Nations Security Council, to hold the Israeli regime accountable and responsible for what he described as “the heinous crimes,” stressing that Israel must stop all provocative acts against the Palestinian people.
Ibrahim was reacting to the assault by the Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning against Palestinians while worshipping at Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, beating and arresting hundreds.
“The international community must demand the Israeli regime to immediately stop any provocative acts in the interest of peace and stability,” he said in a tweet.
“Malaysia continues to stand in strong solidarity with the people of Palestine and reiterates the status of Al-Quds Al-Sharif (Jerusalem) as the Holy site of the Muslim Ummah.”
