JERUSALEM, Wednesday, April 5, 2023 (WAFA) – After Israeli occupation forces have broken into and ransacked the health clinic at Al-Aqsa Mosque compound this morning, Lynn Hastings, the United Nations Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Palestine, called for respecting health facilities and staff.
“Last night a health clinic was significantly damaged as the Israeli forces used it to enter Al-Qibli mosque. The clinic is no longer able to provide care to the Palestinians it was serving daily. 100s in the mosque were arrested and health care teams denied access to treat the injured,” she said in a tweet.
“Health facilities and workers must be respected and protected and their access to the treat the injured unhindered. It is imperative that health services in Al Aqsa are immediately restored.”
