JEDDAH, Wednesday, April 5, 2023 (WAFA) - The Union of News Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (UNA) strongly condemned today the Israeli occupation forces' storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque, its brutal assault on worshipers in its courtyards, and the arrest of a number of them.
In a statement, the federation affirmed that this escalation represents a blatant assault on the sanctity of holy places and freedom of worship, as well as a flagrant violation of relevant United Nations resolutions.
The Union called for serious action to put an end to these repeated Israeli violations, and to oblige Israel, the occupying power, to respect the sanctity of the holy places and to preserve the legal and historical status of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
