Israeli army suppresses peaceful protest in south Hebron hills against settler attacks

HEBRON, Saturday, February 12, 2022 (WAFA) – The Israeli army suppressed today a peaceful protest by Palestinian and international activists against settler attacks targeting herders in the south Hebron hills, according to Fouad al-Imour, a local activist.

He told WAFA that the soldiers fired tear gas canisters and sound bombs at the protesters in order to disperse them.

The protesters were demanding an end to the settlers’ violence against herders in the area that aim to force them to leave their lands and homes in order to expand the area’s illegal Jewish settlements.

Palestinians the south Hebron hill make a living from herding and raising livestock.
