RAMALLAH, September 22, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces tightened military measures this Tuesday morning in the vicinity of the cities of Ramallah and Al-Bireh.

Local sources reported that occupation forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the village of Ein Siniya, north of Ramallah, hindering the movement of hundreds of vehicles—particularly those leaving the city—and causing severe traffic congestion.

Occupation forces also established a checkpoint between the town of Silwad and the village of Yabrud, east of Ramallah, obstructing the movement of residents. Additionally, a checkpoint was set up at the entrance to the town of Aboud, west of Ramallah, where forces searched vehicles and checked citizens' identification cards.
