RAMALLAH, September 21, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli occupation forces this evening tightened military restrictions around Ramallah, in the central occupied West Bank, closing several roads and entrances and disrupting Palestinian movement.

Local sources said that the forces closed the iron gate at the entrance to the town of Turmus Ayya, north of Ramallah, in both directions. They also set up a military checkpoint at the entrance to the village of Nabi Saleh, northwest of Ramallah, where soldiers stopped and searched Palestinian vehicles and checked passengers' identification cards.

The sources added that the forces set up another checkpoint at the entrance to Jaba' and closed the gate at Ein Sinya, north of Ramallah, further obstructing the movement of residents and vehicles in the area.

Meanwhile, local sources reported the presence of groups of Israeli colonists beneath the Yabrud Bridge, east of Ramallah.

The measures come amid a broader tightening of Israeli military restrictions across the occupied territory.
