RAMALLAH, September 21, 2026 (WAFA) — Armed Israeli colonists on Monday evening attacked Palestinians’ homes in the Abu Falah village, northeast of Ramallah, according to local sources.

They said that armed colonists, protected by the occupation forces, attacked homes on the outskirts of the village and attempted to break into several of them, prompting the villagers to confront them.

They added that the gun-toting soldiers opened live fire at the villagers as they attempted to confront the attack.

Meanwhile, armed colonists tried to break into the home of the principal of Tarms'ayya School in the Khirbet al-Marajem area, located between the villages of the Ramallah village of Al-Mughayyir and the Nablus village of Duma.

In the meantime, a convoy of army vehicles raided the Silwad town, east of Ramallah, where the soldiers erected a checkpoint in the downtown part of the town and another at the entrance to Deir Jarir, stopping Palestinian-licensed vehicles.

According to the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission (CWRC), Israeli occupying forces and colonists carried out 2,030 attacks against Palestinian civilians across the occupied West Bank in August, including 1,402 carried out by occupation forces and 628 by colonists. The attacks were concentrated in the governorates of Nablus, Ramallah and Al-Bireh, Hebron, Bethlehem, Jenin and Jerusalem.

Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
