JEDDAH, Tuesday, January 12, 2021 (WAFA) - The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned the Israeli occupation authorities’ decision to invite contractor bids to build 800 new unlawful colonial settlement units on the occupied Palestinian territories.
The OIC General Secretariat considered the Israeli move a brazen breach of international law and relevant UN resolutions, most notably Security Council resolution 2334.
Accelerating Israel’s illegal settlement creation and expansion drive, in the occupied Palestinian land, does not serve either the internationally agreed two-state solution peace process or the Arab Peace Initiative, the OIC stressed.
