CAIRO, February 11, 2011 (WAFA)- Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak stepped down, assigning the Higher Council of the Armed Forces to run the country, the Vice President Omar Suleiman said in a televised communiqué.
Mubarak stepping down came after 18 days of popular demonstrations calling for his resignation.
