JERICHO, June 24, 2025 (WAFA) – Colonists renewed their incursion today, Tuesday, into the Arab al-Malihat Bedouin community northwest of Jericho city, according to official local sources.
The Al-Baydar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights informed WAFA that colonists broke into the community with sheep and allowed them to graze on stacks of hay, causing considerable damage to the property and fodder of a local resident.
The organization affirmed that these actions are intended to exert pressure on residents to abandon their lands and livelihoods, ultimately forcing their displacement.
The Arab al-Malihat area, similar to other Bedouin communities in the Jordan Valley, regularly experiences incursions and other violations by colonists and Israeli forces, as part of broader efforts aimed at displacing the indigenous population.
Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their properties has dramatically increased since the onset of Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people on October 7th, 2023.
The indiscriminate violence by Israeli colonists against Palestinian civilians and their properties has been widely condemned.
Several countries have imposed sanctions against Israeli colonists accused of committing acts of violence against the Palestinian people in the West Bank.
