RAMALLAH, June 24, 2025 (WAFA) – The Palestinian Presidency welcomed US President Donald Trump's announcement of a ceasefire agreement between the two parties to the escalating situation in the region, appreciating the efforts made to de-escalate the situation.
The Presidency stated that reaching a ceasefire is an important step towards achieving security and stability in the region through diplomacy and ending conflicts in accordance with international legitimacy and international law.
It added, "We demand the completion of this step by achieving a ceasefire that includes the Gaza Strip, to alleviate the suffering of our people and halt the killing and starvation, thus achieving comprehensive security and stability in the region, considering that resolving the Palestinian issue in accordance with international legitimacy is what leads to a lasting, real, and stable peace."
