Occupation forces storm Tubas-area town, surround house

TUBAS, June 25, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces stormed the town of Tamoun, south of Tubas, on Wednesday.

Local sources reported that special units infiltrated the town, followed by military reinforcements, coinciding with low-flying reconnaissance aircraft.

The sources added that the occupation forces raided a large number of citizens' homes and conducted field investigations with young men.

Kamal Bani Odeh, director of the Prisoner's Society in Tubas, indicated that the occupation forces detained 17 citizens for several hours before releasing them.

Ahmad Al-Asaad, governor of Tubas and the Northern Jordan Valley, condemned the ongoing Israeli aggression on the town of Tamoun, which has been ongoing for hours.

Al-Asaad stated that the occupation forces have recently escalated their aggression against Tubas Governorate and other Palestinian governorates amidst difficult regional circumstances.

He called on the international community to assume its responsibilities and halt these repressive measures against our people.

Al-Asaad pointed out that the occupation forces stormed the town of Tamoun in the early hours of the morning after special forces infiltrated the town, amid a campaign of raids, vandalism of homes, and mass arrests of citizens.

Al-Asaad emphasized that the Tubas Governorate is being subjected to systematic targeting of citizens' property and aimed at terrorizing children and women. He emphasized that these practices will not succeed in breaking the resolve and steadfastness of the Palestinian people.
