TULKARM, June 24, 2025 (WAFA) – Governor of Tulkarm, Major General Dr. Abdullah Kmail, stated that Israeli occupation soldiers are committing daily crimes against the Palestinian people and the residents of Tulkarm Governorate.
Such crimes include the theft of money and valuable belongings from homes during raids and incursions, as well as the photographing of citizens in degrading and humiliating conditions during arrest, detention, and captivity."
In an official press statement, Kmail affirmed that these practices extend beyond assaults on civilians, destruction, vandalism, and home demolitions. They now encompass systematic acts of theft and humiliation, in clear violation of international law, international humanitarian law, and human rights conventions.
These actions specifically target the dignity of the Palestinian people and aim to weaken their resilience—particularly in light of the difficult circumstances resulting from the ongoing aggression.
Kmail noted that the occupying state is exploiting the international community’s preoccupation with the conflict involving Iran to intensify its aggression in the West Bank—particularly in Tulkarm Governorate—amid a deeply troubling silence from the global community.
He emphasized that these crimes necessitate urgent intervention from the international community, international institutions, and human rights organizations to put an end to these practices and to hold the occupation accountable for these violations and crimes.
He affirmed that the governorate continues to document these crimes through the relevant authorities and submit them to human rights institutions.
He also called on media outlets to highlight these violations and amplify the voice of the Palestinian people to the international community.
