BETHLEHEM, June 24, 2025 (WAFA) – Colonists installed on Tuesday eight iron gates at the entrances of agricultural roads in the town of Al-Khader, south of Bethlehem, according to a local official.
Mahmoud Abdullah, a member of the Agricultural Cooperative Society in Al-Khader, told WAFA that the colonists erected the gates along agricultural roads that were previously obstructed by earth mounds.
He noted that this arbitrary measure will deprive farmers of access to approximately 12,000 dunums of agricultural land across several areas. These lands have been reclaimed and are cultivated with grapevines, olive trees, and a variety of other crops.
Colonists also installed surveillance cameras on the gates to monitor the movements of farmers.
