RAMALLAH, June 24, 2025 (WAFA) - France condemned on Tuesday the Israeli fire on civilians gathered around an aid distribution center in Gaza last night that left several dozen people killed or injured.
“France reiterates its full support for UN agencies and their humanitarian partners, which have proved their integrity and their ability to deliver aid while fully abiding by humanitarian principles. Humanitarian aid must not be exploited for political or military ends.”
France called on the Israeli government to authorize the immediate, massive, unhindered flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza.
“The most urgent thing is to bring about an immediate and permanent ceasefire and the unconditional release of all hostages,” said a press release issued by the Consulate General of France in Jerusalem.
It added: “France continues to work toward this goal. It is also essential to create an alternative to war for both Palestinians and Israelis in order to satisfy legitimate aspirations toward a Palestinian state and to allow Israelis and Palestinians to live in peace and security.”
The release concluded: “The momentum that began in the lead-up to the International Conference for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution must be maintained, and we are working actively to that end.”
