Israeli forces turn residential building into military outpost south of Nablus

NABLUS, June 24, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces seized a residential building on Tuesday evening and converted it into a military outpost in the village of Al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya, south of Nablus.

According to WAFA correspondent, Israeli military vehicles and an infantry unit stormed the home of a local resident in the village and converted it into a military outpost. Israeli flags were raised atop the building, while military vehicles patrolled the area and foot soldiers imposed movement restrictions on residents.

In recent weeks, Israeli forces have intensified their policy of turning Palestinian homes in the occupied West Bank into military outposts. Residents are forcibly removed, their properties frequently vandalized or looted, and entire residential areas declared closed military zones — actions that constitute clear violations of international law and conventions, according to a report by the Government Media Center.

Israeli soldiers use these homes as observation points, field command centers, sniper positions, or locations for on-site interrogations of detainees. In some instances, entire residential buildings, comprising multiple apartments or floors, have been converted into military facilities.

Eyewitnesses report incidents of beatings and humiliation during forced evacuations, alongside the theft of personal belongings and money, as well as deliberate destruction of property by soldiers.
