Al-Tamimi Denounces Colonisers' Acts against Mosque and Al-wqaf Site in Hebron
HEBRON, April 30, 2007, (WAFA)-The Chief Palestinian Islamic Justice, Sheikh Tayssir al-Tamimi denounced the Jewish colonisers' acts in Hebron for breaking down the doors of the Directorate of al-wqaf and al-Aqtab mosque in the heart of the city.
In a statement, AL-Tamimi warned of the seriousness of this aggressive acts that would spoil documents, which belong to the citizens and their interests, especially after al-Waqf received threats to burn the contents in what the so-called Day of wood-burning.
He said that this barbaric assaults on the two closed mosque and building by the Israeli military occupation authorities' decision five years ago, comes in a series of arbitrary actions by the occupation authorities against the heart of Hebron city for emptying it of its people and prevent them entering the Ibrahimi Mosque and pray in it. Such act is a flagrant violation of human rights that guaranteed by divine law and international norms and conventions.
Al-Tamimi called on the international community to abide by its responsibilities and exert pressure on Israel to stop the Israeli organized terrorism against the Palestinian people and their sanctities.
